Co-created with my best friend, Almost Candid was born out of a personal challenge — a desire to step out of my comfort zone and create something that felt real. We wanted to explore the stories people often skip over, the ones that happen in between milestones and social media highlights.
At its core, Almost Candid is a space where personal experiences meet honest conversation. Through every episode, we dive into topics that shape who we are — from cultural identities and adulthood transitions to those small, quiet moments that make life meaningful. With voices and perspectives spanning the UK, US, and India, the podcast became our way of bridging worlds, finding common ground through shared humanity.
Why We Started?
We started Almost Candid with a simple idea: to have the conversations we wished existed. Both of us were navigating different stages of life in different countries, realizing how similar our struggles and lessons were despite the distance. What began as casual catch-ups soon turned into recorded episodes — part reflection, part laughter, and part learning.
It wasn’t about perfection or production value; it was about authentic connection. Every episode became an opportunity to document growth, vulnerability, and the unfiltered side of adulting.

Episode 1: New years, new resolutions?
Resolutions are cool, but the pressure? Not so much. In this episode, we talk about ditching the comparison game, setting goals that actually make sense for you, and staying flexible when life inevitably shifts. Let’s make this year work for us, not stress us out!

Episode 2: Studying Abroad – what, why and how?
In this episode, we unpack the real deal about moving countries to study—how we chose where to go, tackled applications, and dealt with the curveball that was COVID. From navigating house hunts and cultural shocks to part-time jobs, making friends, and managing adult life (hello laundry and late-night grocery runs), we’re laying it all out.
If you’re thinking of studying abroad or are already knee-deep in the chaos, this one’s for you. Consider it your unofficial guide to figuring it out.

Episode 3: Life After Graduation
Graduation feels like the finish line—until real life shows up.
In this episode, we unpack the real post-grad experience: the job hunt, setting up a home from scratch, rebuilding a social life, and figuring out how to be okay—mentally, emotionally, and financially.
If you’re somewhere between “I got this” and “what am I doing?”—you’re not alone. Tune in to reflect, relate, and maybe feel a little less alone

Episode 4: Tiny Joys of AdulthoodAdulthood gets a bad rap… bills, responsibilities, existential dread. But today, we’re flipping the script — in this episode, we talk about the tiny, oddly specific joys that make growing up feel worth it.

Episode 5: How to eat alone & other things
Doing things alone can feel awkward—until it doesn’t. In this episode, we talk solo coffee runs, dinners for one, solo travel, and the confidence that comes with it. Whether it’s by choice or chance, there’s freedom, discomfort, and growth in doing things on your own—and we’re unpacking all of it.

Episode 6 : Do we really need a degree in 2025?
In this episode, we tackle the age-old debate: Is college still worth it? From student loans to ever evolving industries, we discuss things you need to know before committing to that expensive piece of paper.

Episode 7: Where AI stands in 2025

From AI’s role in social media trends to its impact on personal and professional decision-making, we discuss the benefits and potential pitfalls of this rapidly evolving technology. Tune in for our take on how AI is reshaping our world and what it means for the future.
